School Visits
Are you looking for a hands on learning experience at a very special community-based museum? From natural history, to the social sciences, to Te Ao Māori, the Okains Bay Māori & Colonial Museum provides many unique opportunities for learning. Our staff are available to assist with the delivery of proactive and flexible learning programmes that cater for the varied learning needs of your school. Some of our regular school visitors combine a programme at the museum with other local activities such as kayaking on the Ōpara River, exploring the beach, and camping at the Okains Bay Campground.
