Waitangi Day is a very special time for Okains Bay Maori and Colonial Museum and the local Maori and Pakeha community. Waitangi Day started being celebrated at the Museum in 1977 and it is the longest continuous celebration in the South Island. Here are some photos of the 2012 Waitangi Day.
